Ground News

MCA stadium has thoroughly reflected RPS’ performance last year. If they chase they have a chance to win. Else none.

The pitch at Pune has played in 2 parts. When it was called Sahara Stadium, it was a low scoring venue. In 2016 edition, no score was safe here. A team batting 1st should think about scoring minimum 190.

Final Thoughts

RCB should first get rid of Chris Gayle and Shane Watson. Melbourne Renegades where quick to identify the white elephant and got rid of it. RCB management may have a liking to white elephants as the team owner looks like one. Its good for me though as more often I will go against RCb and win my bets even more often.

Kohli has achieved everything in a short international career. When he became India captain I was wondering how this hot headed persona will lead a team! Boy, he did exceptionally well. I was about to change my thoughts about his captaincy. After the success against Australia this Home summer, Kohli’s attitude seems problematic and causing his team’s downfall. The way he goes after the ball shows that he still thinks its 2016 IPL. He is in good form this year too but his immaturity and hotheadedness has come back. If they don’t start winning again from now, there will be a lot of demons haunting him for a very long time.

Pune were almost written off early season. They’ve come back well by finding a right bowling combination. Without Stokes they seem vulnerable. Mostly he won’t play today also. Its better to bring in Baba Aparajith who can bowl a bit as well. Instead of bringing Faf Du Plessis they should go with Lockie Ferguson or Zampa to bolster the bowling.
